Introduction and Background
Hi there, my name is Charles, I’m an ex-IELTS examiner and English language educator with over 20 years of experience in teaching English as a second language.
Experience as an IELTS Examiner
My journey began over two decades ago, driven by my love for languages (including programming languages!) and my desire to use technology to make the world a better place. I've had the privilege of working in various countries, learning about the customs of different cultures, and gaining a solid understanding of the many different challenges English language learners face as well as how technology can impact our lives and our own learning journeys.
Teaching Philosophy: Simplicity in Learning
For 10 years, I worked as an IELTS examiner at the British Council, where I've assessed thousands of students and it is this that not only perfected my skills in evaluating language proficiency but also gave me the opportunity to help prepare students for the exam. However I was not satisfied with what was being provided to students.
Incorporating Technology in Language Education
To the horror of many teachers out there, I believe that English does not need to be so complicated! My mantra is keep it simple, learn it fast, so my teaching philosophy focuses on providing you with clear, effective techniques to enhance your exam skills, build on your current English level and ultimately achieve in the IELTS exam.

Over the last couple of years I have increasingly been involved in the world of tech and have developed the ‘IELTS Accelerator’ platform to offer students of the IELTS exam a modern approach towards succeeding in the IELTS exam.
